The launch of the new visual identity marked more than just a new look for Fishbones. It was a milestone in the work on a clearer, long-term strategy in which brand, technology, and products all pull in the same direction.
At the headquarters in Stavanger, the new brand platform was presented to employees, while colleagues in other parts of the world followed the broadcast digitally. The programme included a strategy presentation, a walkthrough of the new profile, and discussions on how Fishbones will build its position in the years to come.
“For us, it was important that everyone working at Fishbones could take part in this moment. The brand platform and the visual identity are tools we will use together to build the company further,” says Janne Freuchen Halvorsen, Senior Marketing & Communications Manager at Fishbones.

The long term Strategy
The new visual identity is a central piece of Fishbones’ long-term strategy, where the Branching methodology and the products Jetting and Drilling will reinforce the company’s core message of “Unlocking reservoir value.”

The strategy is about making it even clearer how Fishbones creates added value:
- The Branching methodology enables better utilisation of reservoirs, with more control and less complexity.
- The Jetting and Drilling solutions demonstrate how the technology can be adapted to different well situations and operator needs.
- The new brand platform brings this together in one coherent story – both visually and strategically.
“When we say ‘Unlocking reservoir value’, it is about both technology and how we think as a company. The visual identity makes us more recognisable externally, but just as important is the way it builds unity and pride internally. This event was a key step in anchoring the strategy with everyone who works at Fishbones,” says Eirik Renli.
The event marks the start of a long-term effort, where Fishbones will actively use the new profile and brand platform in communication with customers, partners, and employees worldwide.
