Blog: Fishbones announces ten new wells across the Middle East

We are pleased to be kicking off 2022 by announcing new contracts committing us to another ten new wells across various projects in the Middle East. With all projects set to kick off in the first half of the year, the announcement will further show Fishbones to be a leading supplier of game-changing stimulation technology in the region. Our long-established presence, coupled with previous successes, were the main reasons that our technology was selected to be part of the upcoming operations.
Strong history in the region
At Fishbones we have invested heavily in the Middle East region since we first entered the market with the first installation in 2015. In the same year, we opened our office in Dubai and in 2019 we opened our operations facility in Muscat. With over 20 wells completed across the Middle East, our technology typically more than doubles production from operators’ wells in the region. The reason for these strong numbers is that our Fishbones Jetting technology performs particularly well in the region’s low permeability, layered and/or naturally fractured carbonate reservoirs.
New hires to drive strong growth
We are committed to bringing our market-leading technology to new markets and locations and 2022 will see several strategic growth prospects materialise. Many ‘firsts’ are planned, with wells taking place in new regions including Latin America, Russia and Asia.
To facilitate these new markets, we have made several new hires over the last few months, resulting in a 40% increase to our sales and business development headcount. Some key hires include:

Yasser Atallah, New Business Development Manager for Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar,

Katya Sørensen, Sales and Business Development Manager Europe and Russia.
