Are you our next Field Specialist in UAE?

As Fishbones continues to grow and strengthen our operational capacity across regions, we are looking for a practical, service-minded, and hands-on Field Specialist to support our workshop and field operations. This role will be based in UAE.

In this role, you will be involved in preparing, inspecting, assembling, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and technical systems. The position will include both domestic and international field assignments, depending on business needs.

 

This is a practical technical role suited for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, good problem-solving skills, and a structured way of working. You will work closely with regional teams, project managers, workshop personnel, and other internal stakeholders to ensure safe, reliable, and high-quality execution. During periods where field work is not required, the role will contribute to relevant activities within Operations, Workshop, Logistics, and other assigned tasks as needed.

Main responsibilities:

  • Inspecting, assembling, and preparing equipment in workshop locations across the regions

  • Supporting configuration, installation, and testing of equipment at client sites

  • Conducting preventive maintenance, routine inspections, troubleshooting, and corrective repairs

  • Identifying mechanical, design or operational issues and reporting these to the appropriate supervisor

  • Completing service reports, maintenance logs, and inspection documentation accurately and on time

  • Following all company safety policies, site regulations and relevant HSE requirements

  • Using appropriate personal protective equipment and maintaining safe work practices in all work environments

  • Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition and ensuring proper storage and transportation

  • Monitoring stock levels of spare parts and notifying the supervisor when replenishment is needed

  • Representing Fishbones professionally when working with clients, suppliers, and internal teams

Desired qualifications:

  • Relevant technical vocational education or trade certificate, preferably within mechanical, electrical, industrial, or similar disciplines

  • Previous hands-on technical, oilfield, maintenance, or field service experience is preferred

  • Good practical problem-solving skills and mechanical understanding

  • Basic understanding of HSE requirements and client compliance standards

  • Good English communication skills, both written and spoken

  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and deliver concise written field reports

  • Valid passport and flexibility to travel on short notice when required

  • Positive, respectful, and solution-oriented approach to teamwork and customer interaction
